Lori Isley Lynn has
performed extensively in the US and Europe in opera, musical theatre and
classical concerts. She created the leading roles in two new American Folk
operas for their premiere performances – Banjerman and Tales from
Froglevel – as well as in the operatic comedy A Comedy of
Arias which debuted in the Edinburgh Festival receiving 5-star reviews.
In the UK, her roles include Mozart’s Blonde, Despina, Susanna, Marcellina, Pamina and Donna Anna; Puccini’s Liu, Butterfly, and Mimi; Verdi’s Leonora, Desdemona, and Violetta; Bizet’s Micaela, Mascagni’s Suzel, Floyd’s Susannah, and Dinah in Bernstein’s “Trouble in Tahiti”. She also performed as Carlotta in Andrew Lloyd Weber’s West End production of “Phantom of the Opera”. Lori’s concert performances include Mozart’s C Minor Mass, Handel’s Dixit Dominus, Bach’s Magnificat, the Vivaldi Gloria, and the Fauré and Mozart Requiems. Concert operas include Dvořák’s Rusalka, Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Tchaikovsky’s Queen of Spades where she sang the roles of Donna Anna and Liza. Her solo engagements have taken her to venues such as St. John’s Smith Square, Queen Elizabeth Hall, St. James’ Palace, the Lord Mayor’s Mansion House, the Royal Festival Hall, and the Royal Albert Hall. Recent engagements include the lead role in the award-winning production of Madame Butterfly at the world famous Minack Theatre in Cornwall. Lori appears in the UK and in America as one of the “Dueling Divas” with mezzo-soprano Elizabeth Bond. Lori Isley Lynn received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her Master of Music degree from Boston University.. |
